Hans Eykelboom "Hollandse Week: Identiteiten"
de Appel, Brouwersgracht 196, Amsterdam
'I have made about ten photo's of myself which refer all to one or another work or living situation. For these photo's I adjusted my clothings and looks more or less. I have asked someone I know to show these pictures to some people whom I've met ten years ago. He asked these people what they reminded of me and what they thought I was doing now. Based on their ideas he had them choose a photo and comment on this choice as well as possible. I have tried to fulfill a long fostered desire of mine. This desire was to fly once with a self made sailplane. Of this trial an illustrated report was printed in the daily paper. Following this report some people at random were asked what impression they got from a person who tried flying this way.'
