Biblio-Graph is a web application for cultural libraries and archives that want to open their collections and make them more accessible and discoverable for a wider audience. The invitation in 2019 from archivist Nell Donkers to Mariana Lanari has resulted in a long-term and still ongoing collaboration in which the library of de Appel Archive functions as a laboratory to further develop Biblio-Graph. The initial invitation to Lanari was to think with the archivist on how to implement RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) so that the dreamed mobile archive (Spaces-Run-Archive) could be packed as efficiently as possible, presenting de Appel’s history in the most concise and sustainable way.

The collaboration has resulted in the exhibition Catching Up in the Archive by Mariana Lanari in 2022, and de Appel Archive serves as a laboratory for further developing Biblio-Graph by Mariana Lanari and Remco van Bladel.
