Amuse Gueule – Prix de Rome

Preceding and concurrent with the exhibitions, de Appel arts centre is presenting material from its own archive in the chambre séparée of MOES.

From the 26th of October 2013 untill the 26th of January 2014 de Appel arts centre will host the Prix de Rome, the oldest and most important prize for Visual artists under the age 40 years old that was introduced in the Netherlands in 1808. In the context of this exhibition this presentation consists of a selection of images and video registrations of the laureates that participated in the Prix de Rome and de Appel arts centre in 2005, 2007 and 2009.
