Pop-up Performance: A selection of pieces of the work and life of Anne van der Wetering

On November 2th the Amsterdam Museum Night will take place. In de Appel arts centre it will be all about the Prix de Rome.
In de Appel arts centre it will be all about the Prix de Rome, the oldest and most important price for artists and architects (until the age of 40) in Holland. With Christian Friedrich, Falke Pisano, Remco Torenbosch and Ola Vasiljeva.
PROGRAMME
1. ARTMEN tour-de-luxe
Start: 20:00 and 21:00
Looking at art in a guided tour-de-luxe led by ARTMEN: Jasper Krabbe.
2. A selection of pieces of the work and life of Anne van der Wetering
Start: 19:30, 20:30, 21:30 and 22:30
A light and accessible pop-up performance about the function of (modern) Art in a contemporary society. A young woman who wants to understand art, but struggles with the too many questions she has.
3. Prix de Rome Audience awards
Start: 19:00 – 02:00
Who do you think deserves to win the Prix de Rome award? Make a choice out of the four selected artists and vote. The outcome will be published via social media.
4. Pop-up guides
Start: 19:00-01:00
All of a sudden guides will appear and tell you more about the Prix de Rome artists and de Appel art centre.
5. Lernert en Sanders: How To Explain It To My Parents:
The be on display all night
Ever tried to explain to your parents what your job is all about? Its often quite difficult. For visual artists it is even more difficult. This recognizable theme inspired Lernert Engelberts and Sander Plug to make this serie of video's. In 'How To Explaine It To My Parents' they asked Arno Coenen, Bart Julius Peters and Martin de Waal to explain to their parents what their work is all about. With special tanks to LIMA
6. Italian Cocktailbar
Start: 19:00 – 23:00
In a need for an Aperol Spritz or a Limoncello Espuma? MOES will mix delicious Italian cocktails in the foyer of de Appel.
7. Be Your Own DJ: a song for a drink.
Start: 22:00 – 02:00
