Songs from image was an audio environment with three performers, Alison Knowles, Malcolm Goldstein and Philip Corner. Working together or separately, they filled the evening with a series of actions. They performed Corner’s composition Metal Meditations and an improvised piece called Three Songs together. In Three Songs, Goldstein played violin, Knowles played bells and flute, and Corner proclaimed a text. Knowles had made a large number of performance props from onion peel, shoelaces and reels of silk thread.
