Michael Druks – Playbox Amsterdam

Description

The video is a recording of the performance. The artist enters the exhibition room where a TV set is standing on a table surrounded by usual household items. Druks tries to interact with the TV programme which is being broadcasted at that moment. He sits on the TV set, hangs a jacket over the screen, puts plants and flowers in front of it, puts glasses and a picture on the screen, gives drinks to people appearing in the programme, and draws on the screen, removes the drawings and then draws again. In the end of the performance the artist completely covers the TV screen with black paint.
