The Dos and Dont's of Crisis-Management
de Appel, Prins Hendrikkade 142, Amsterdam
Crisis Management is usually understood as the process by which an institution deals with a major event that threatens to harm it or the general public. Looming threat, the element of surprise as well as short decision-time and a subsequent need of change are defining elements.
Psychiatrist Wilco Tuinebreijer, is responsible for the mental health of Amsterdam’s citizens and in charge of handling communication and strategies in case of catastrophic events that concern larger groups of society. Through this workshop, based on many years of experience in the field, he will share the most important aspects and guidelines to follow in case of crisis.
Apart from being the medical director of the mental health department at the municipal health service Amsterdam (GGD) Wilco Tuinebreijer is also founder of the Beautiful Distress initiative. A Foundation that aims to de-stigmatize mental illness through artistic projects and residencies in psychiatric settings.
This event is part of the extensive Public Programme that accompanies Rien ne va plus? Faites vos jeux!
