Museumweek 2015

During this years Museumweek it's all about the 'golden show pieces' in musea. The Museumweek focusses on the most valuable and precious museum treasures. Our golden show piece is the story behind de Appel arts centre. This story is shown in de Appel archive. The history of de Appel is strongly connected to some big names in the contemporary art world such as: Dan Graham, Giane Pane and James Lee Byars. In the archive history comes to life through video registrations of unique performances, rare books and letters from artists.

De Appel archive is open every Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-6 PM.

Sunday April 19: Appel tour from 3-4 PM.
An interactive tour through the exhibition of Melanie Gilligan and Michael Dean and de Appel building. Normal admission fees are valid, the tour is free. Please make reservations: reservation [​at​] deappel.nl
