'Schneemann read texts printed on cards. The objects and persons mentioned in the text were shown in a slide projection whereas a Super-8 film visualized the emotions. She thus created an audio-visual diary of her life as a woman.' (Frank Gribling, invitation De Appel, June 1977.)
