‘Ricardo Füglistahler (1960) made Ritual III, a video installation, in which he stacks six monitors into two columns. This gateway is set up in the 'small hall' in which the Sunday afternoon presentations are held. Floors and walls are covered with black and Füglistahler intends to make the 'rite de passage' complete with different materials and organic objects. Füglistahler graduated in 1985 from the AKI school in Enschede and is one of the (ex-) students from art schools that De Appel plans to present. In addition, a tape will be shown in the documentation centre comprising of works by students who are graduating this year: Willem Heerbaart, Un tableau vivant, 11.26 min.
Fokke van de Veer / Anton van Bakel, Endless Parade, 9.50 min.
Bert Oosting, Zone 1, 2 & 3, 11 min.
Fred Kolman, Sysiphus, 3.42 min.
Beryl den Broeder / Marion Luypen, Disease, 5 min.
Patricia Walhof / Mark Burnett, Dans, 3.30 min., Composition IV, 3 min.
Marcel Mijmeyer, Raum/Dissolve/Leben, 6 min.’
