Harm van der Wal "Lecture"

'Since 1977 Harm van der Wal has done performances and made videotapes and installations. All this work is built up with an emphasis on process. During his actions, in different ways, he notes sensory perceptions and physical movements. These notations are used as visual material. In the last year he has done actions in which language is given a visual function. (...)
