Stuart Brisley / Iain Robertson "Between"

Brisley and Robertson took their inspiration for the performance Tussen from Jung’s theory of life phases which divides the human life into four phases: 1) birth-adolescence, 2) adolescence-second adolescence: 35-45 years of age, 3) second adolescence-advanced age, 4) advanced age-death. Brisley (1933) represented the third life phase, Robertson (1955) the second. (Invitation De Appel, December 1979.)
