De Avondroute

On Saturday 28 September, Cinetol, Tempel, CC Amstel, de Appel and OBA present: De Avondroute. These five cultural venues are located in a triangle around the Tolstraat. We will take you on a tour of the different venues through three routes. Each route takes you past a performance at Cinetol, a show at CC Amstel, an act at Tempel and choir at de Appel, all in one evening. Accompanied by a host, you will be led from stage to stage. The evening ends with an afterparty at Tempel.

Tickets are available through the website of Cinetol. There is a reduced rate of €2.50 for Diamantbuurt residents. Limited spots are available. You can reserve a reduced rate ticket by emailing info@cinetol.nl.

At de Appel you can listen to the first try-out of the Complaints Choir with Azubike Onwuka, a project in collaboration with community center Plan C. Here neighborhood residents, both singers and non-singers, sing together about their complaints. Musician Azubike Onwuka leads the choir, where they explore neighborhood problems together by singing and composing. You can also check out the art installation Conversation Dance by artist Min Oh. This work shows how different art forms can work together in an equal way.
