Hackers and Designers
Description
Hackers & Designers (H&D) is a conglomerate of practitioners from different fields and backgrounds (technology, design, art, and education) currently operating between Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Brussels. H&D is organised in a cooperative fashion, distributing responsibility over finances and decision making. Members of the collective are: Loes Bogers, Selby Gildemacher, Anja Groten, Heerko van der Kooij, Juliette Lizotte, Karl Moubarak, Pernilla Manjula Philip, slvi.e and vo ezn. They organise workshops, lectures, game and hack events, meet-ups, experiments in publishing and an annual H&D Summer 6 Camp. Inspired by intersectional trans*feminist thought and practice H&D stimulates collaboration across differences (age, gender, race, ability, skills, interests, species, materials) and aims to imagine and work together toward desirable techno-social and eco-conscious futures.
