Xu Tan (http://arts.tom.com/script/bbs/) is one of the four members of the Guangzhou-based ‘Big Tail Elephant Group’ who used to create their worlds directly in the urban context, often site specific and resorting to locally found materials. Their critical revelation of the reality of today’s cities keeps inspiring Xu Tan as an individual artist.
